Sugar and Spice and Everything nice...girl's day

A belated mother's day treat with my mom and Braxtyn. What fun we had! We missed GG, she has been battling with some teeth issues and had to miss out. Sipped tea, ate sandwiches and quiche. Braxtyn LOVED her day out with girls only and just a special grown-up girl time.

Well, Bust my mutton!

Rodeo Fan club

Debbie and Brooke

1st place winner

3rd place winner!

Last weekend Daniel and I and the kids made our way to Payson for the rodeo. CHF had the drill contract so I was riding and we thought it would be fun to camp together and take care of the horses. There were only two performances, so we thought we'd have fun going to the creek and having some fun family time. Friday night, Darin, Jodi, Aimee and the kids and Jaime and Shane came out to watch. And then Saturday night we had Micheal and Debbie and kids and my parents and Paul and Ronda as well. So there was never a dull moment!
The best part of the whole trip was on Saturday night when we entered Noah and Graham in the Mutton Bustin competition, they had never done this at a rodeo before and had practiced a bit at home when we had our sheep. There were 12 other competitors and Noah and Graham were last up. Noah went 2nd to last, and ran so far down the arean that his sheep fell over with exhaustion! he scored 85 points and won first place! Graham was last and he out rode every other kid except Noah and another 7yr.old and scored 75 points, winning him third place! They both won a belt buckle and Noah took home a trophy and new pair of boots. What a great time and wonderful memories! We came home a night early due to some truck problems and stayed the night at my parents, the kids got up early with mom and dad waiting for us on the couch!

Word to the Mutha's

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL THE MOTHER'S I KNOW!

Being a full-time mother is one of the highest salaried jobs... since the payment is pure love. ~Mildred B. Vermont

When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child. ~Sophia Loren, Women and Beauty

Women's Liberation is just a lot of foolishness. It's the men who are discriminated against. They can't bear children. And no one's likely to do anything about that. ~Golda Meir

It kills you to see them grow up. But I guess it would kill you quicker if they didn't. ~Barbara Kingsolver, Animal

There is only one pretty child in the world, and every mother has it. ~Chinese Proverb

Cold water, dirty water, hot water....ugh

Two cups of water spilled at dinner, I should have known not to get too upset...it's just water. I mopped it up and cleaned the kitchen, sent the boys to two different bathrooms to potty and then shower.... AND then more water, but this time, yep you guessed it, dirty water! Too much toilet paper + too many flushes= one toilet to over flow and the other to plug up. WHAT?! I gather the mop, the bucket, the bleach to begin the cleaning and sanitizing and as I walk into the laundry room for the plunger.....It was hot, not hot summer day hot, but like something overheated hot. Oh no....hot water pouring out of the hot water heater! Scrambling Daniel and I try to get everyone showered with the remaining hot water and began a long evening of mopping, sweeping and cold showers. Ugh... On the bright side my bathroom floors and rugs are bleached clean and the laundry room needed a god cleaning out anyways. Daniel and I and kids traveled all over town getting a new hot water heater, parts ect... I am hoping for hot water tonight!

In short, I will try to take a simple spill at the dinner table as, no big deal!

Easy Bandana Dress tutorial

Ok, I waited to post the tutorial so at least for one day you could all be impressed with me:) Now you will see how easy this really is! I found Joy's blog and I am loving all her great ideas. I will make everyone a dress that wants one, just bring me the materials. The material's list on her blog. At Joanne's they know how big a bandanna is, so if you want to use a different fabric you can just ask them to cut it the size of a bandanna. I would buy your ribbon at Walmart, they had the best price. I also found bandannas in lots of fun colors at Walgreens for $2.50each. The dress cost me about $5 bucks! I think they would be cute with the rag flip flops! Have fun sewing or buying stuff for me to sew!
