Where the wild things grow..

First I'm posting some of my favorite pics from Doni...Well they're all my favorite, but these are just too fun!

This saddle was custom made and given to me by my parents when I was graduating high school. It's the only saddle I'll ride in and it fits me perfect, I think it fits my girl perfect too! I am looking forward to Braxtyn and Cozy riding in this saddle when they are bigger. I think I need a good one of Braxtyn in this saddle too, what do you think Doni?
I think a book about my kids should be titled, Where the Wild Things Grow, it may be a little plageristic. Is that a word? Anyways, As I watch them run wild outdoors without shoes, getting muddy, taming cows, riding horses, gathering eggs and running through our tiny house with bandannas for super hero capes....I just smile and think, Just like my parents before me I'm raising another generation of wild things. I hope and pray my little wild ones, are wild about their savior and learn to follow Jesus at an early age. I am constantly trying to raise them with different approaches and softer words, trying to get them to understand Jesus' love through me. And all I can say is that I hope His grace covers my failures as a parent. All I can do is pray for super human strength and patience each morning, and of course arm myself with lassos, scrubbing bubbles, pacifiers, band aids, splinter removers, snacks, and lots of hugs and kisses. My list goes on...
Some funnies:
Noah and Graham's super hero names -
Noah is : Zoom ( he is the fastest at everything)
Graham is : Multi-man (he can do all of it)
Braxtyn: Mommy can you carry me?
Me: Not now, I have to feed the animals, I need both hands. Can't you walk?
Braxtyn: NOooo!
Me: Why not, is something wrong?
Braxtyn: My feelings are hurting!

Boo is turning 3! July 21st

This was supposed to post on her birthday, but somehow I did it wrong! Happy Late Birthday Baby girl!

We have been calling Braxtyn "Boo" since she was one and now if you asked her name, she would tell you Boo Braxtyn.
Where does the time go? She is getting so big, well not her stature actually, she's quite small for her age.. But her personality makes up for it. She still call the boys her little brothers most of the time. Some Braxtyn funnies:

Braxtyn: mommy my hands are turning pink and blowing up!

Me: What doe that mean, Braxtyn?

Braxtyn: Mom, I'm getting bigger! (happily smiling)

Braxtyn: Can I be three today? Can you just call me three now?
__________________________________________________
Braxtyn: mommy you know what? Last night I dreamed that you and Daddy and me and Eric (he is the prince on Little Mermaid) were all together and me and Eric got married and you and Daddy were flying in the stars and then Eric tooted! (hysterical laughter)

Can I just say, I am at a loss for words at this story. This is not our normal talk at our house, so what in the world. However, I don't know if it was the way she dreamily told it and then turned into a joke, but Daniel and I could not hold back the laughter.

Summer time treats

We have been taking some weekends to have fun and get away from the heat. Just trying to not go stir crazy when it's too hot to go outdoors at our house! This was ice cream in Strawberry near Payson.
Braxtyn: mommy does strawberry shortcake live here?
Me: I don't know.
Braxtyn: She does, she lives up the road. I'm gonna go see her, you and daddy can stay here. I'll be back!

A baby is born

Yes, I realize this is old news! But I have to log this one in on my blog too:) I'm thankful Doni is so up to date, otherwise she would be practically unannounced! She is such a good baby, she is very content and a good sleeper. She loves noise, thankfully and her brothers and sister cannot get enough of her. She was born June 16th at 1:25pm. Only five and 1/2 hours after My water was broke by my doctor. Thankfully fours hours of that was spent walking the hospital with Daniel with very little discomfort. However the last hour and 1/2 was the most intense I've ever experienced. I thought I couldn't finish without an epidural, but Daniel encouraged me to keep going and it was a good thing because about that time Cozette came out within five minutes! I had to yell "she's coming out!" about three times so loudly that six people and my doctor who had been walking down the hall for a c-section heard me and came running in time to literally catch her on the bed! It was so amazing to have her that quickly and a very emotional experience for Daniel and I. I'm thankful I had her naturally and I wish I had done it that way for the others too. We spent only a day and half in the hospital and came home to relax before the other kids came home from my parents.
Our house is full and the kids are so happy to have her home, So are we.
