Well, Bust my mutton!
Last weekend Daniel and I and the kids made our way to Payson for the rodeo. CHF had the drill contract so I was riding and we thought it would be fun to camp together and take care of the horses. There were only two performances, so we thought we'd have fun going to the creek and having some fun family time. Friday night, Darin, Jodi, Aimee and the kids and Jaime and Shane came out to watch. And then Saturday night we had Micheal and Debbie and kids and my parents and Paul and Ronda as well. So there was never a dull moment!
The best part of the whole trip was on Saturday night when we entered Noah and Graham in the Mutton Bustin competition, they had never done this at a rodeo before and had practiced a bit at home when we had our sheep. There were 12 other competitors and Noah and Graham were last up. Noah went 2nd to last, and ran so far down the arean that his sheep fell over with exhaustion! he scored 85 points and won first place! Graham was last and he out rode every other kid except Noah and another 7yr.old and scored 75 points, winning him third place! They both won a belt buckle and Noah took home a trophy and new pair of boots. What a great time and wonderful memories! We came home a night early due to some truck problems and stayed the night at my parents, the kids got up early with mom and dad waiting for us on the couch!
